Yes, finding the right non-writing life is the secret to a great writing life, I think.

(And here's a nutshell version to the difference between push and pull marketing:

In push marketing, you limit the consumer's choices to what you want to sell, and push them to take what you give them.

With pull marketing, you offer the consumer everything and let them choose.

So yes, the result is, you don't have to market.)The Daring Novelisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01676188266569869059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3982837118358902227.post-44955384165774535112012-02-17T13:40:07.013-05:002012-02-17T13:40:07.013-05:00P.S. I think I've done pretty much the same thing:
I've got the life I want now, via the day job, and spend my spare time on writing and on my family.

Part of my wishes I'd had the guts to just leap into writing after high school or university, but I also know that potential starvation would make me anxious and angry, which is not conducive to good writing. I love hearing what you think, even if I don't always completely understand it, like the push/pull theory of the Internet (all I took away from that is that I don't have to market, yay).

So even though you "shouldn't" be writing these blogs, thank you for educating writers like me about finances and the way the world works.

MelissaMelissa Yuan-Inneshttp://www.melissayuaninnes.netnoreply@blogger.com
