It was called the "Cineverse" and there were three of them. At the moment I can't remember the author, but a search on Cineverse should find it.

I think I don't want the work of pushing that kind of concept in this series though. Part of the purpose is to keep it clean of too much world building. Use the tropes to help the audience, don't explain more than necessary, etc.The Daring Novelisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01676188266569869059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3982837118358902227.post-4918962204148829802010-12-04T16:14:26.751-05:002010-12-04T16:14:26.751-05:00The Law of Narrative CasualityThe Law of Narrative CasualityAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3982837118358902227.post-54311620316102703582010-12-04T11:48:51.153-05:002010-12-04T11:48:51.153-05:00Yes, that's a great one. (I'd consider it part of the "one character is delusional" option.)

Unfortunately it doesn't work for these two characters.... however, you've given me a thought. This story takes place in a pastiche world, so wouldn't the rules of fiction become a kind of physical law? Have to think about that....The Daring Novelisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01676188266569869059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3982837118358902227.post-69092875152622891352010-12-04T06:59:28.497-05:002010-12-04T06:59:28.497-05:00Or there's that other fun option, playing on t...Or there's that other fun option, playing on the trope, where one character is vaguely aware that it is how it happens in fiction and so assumes it must be so in 'real' life, to the other's horror. Always a good one to mine for comedy value.stuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16388674850920848503noreply@blogger.com
